Greenbaum Law is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys in the Litigation & Real Estate Practice Group at the firm’s Red Bank, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have prior legal secretarial experience in a New Jersey law firm or comparable legal environment, with knowledge of litigation procedures, commercial real estate matters, document preparation, court e-filing, scheduling, and legal technology. Experience with iManage/FileSite/WorkSite is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to multiple attorneys, including calendar management, scheduling, deadline tracking, and correspondence.
- Prepare, edit, proofread, format, and electronically file pleadings, discovery documents, agreements, leases, contracts, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Manage client intake, electronic files, attorney time entry, billing, and case/transaction records.
- Support litigation matters, including court filings, discovery, deadlines, and case preparation.
- Assist with commercial real estate transactions, including closings, leases, contracts, closing checklists, and post-closing documentation.
- Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, lenders, title companies, brokers, and other third parties.
- Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least a minimum of four (4) years of legal secretarial experience in a New Jersey law firm or comparable legal environment.
- Experience supporting general litigation, commercial real estate and leasing. Land use matters is a plus..
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, document preparation, and transaction procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, iManage/FileSite/WorkSite, and legal billing/timekeeping systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, proofreading, and document production skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits: The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000–$73,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. Actual compensation may vary.
